Essential IT Skills on vision2learn leads to the new Information Technology Qualification ITQ in IT User Skills at Level 2. It’s designed to demonstrate your competence in using IT and includes units on improving productivity using IT, email, spreadsheet software, word processing software, presentation software and database software.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Each unit you study has a credit value and when you achieve 16 credits successfully you achieve your Level 2 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills (QCF). This is a brand new nationally recognised qualification, which is accredited by the awarding body OCR.
With vision2learn you can conveniently study for an ITQ online – via your home or work PC – for FREE. To study on this course you must be aged 19+. You can be employed, seeking work, self-employed, working as a volunteer or someone who just wants to improve their knowledge and practical IT skills and achieve a qualification.
Essential IT Skills is a flexible online course. Studying online with vision2learn means you can control your study time so that it fits in with your other commitments.
You can choose from 6 units including – email, spreadsheet software, word processing software and database software – building credits towards your ITQ at Level 2. This qualification is classed as a ‘full’ Level 2, which means it is equivalent to five GCSEs (grade A*-C).
